Things to do before selling a game console

Xbox 360

  • Press the Guide button.
  • Look for the Settings and choose System Settings. Select Memory or Storage.
  • Highlight your chosen storage device and press the Y button.
  • Lastly, click on the Clear Systems Cache and choose Yes.

PlayStation 3

  • Scroll down and look for the Game tab.
  • Select Game Data Utility.
  • Choose Game Data title that you want to remove.
  • Proceed to press the Triangle button.
  • Don't forget to choose Delete and select Confirm.

PlayStation 4

  • To clear the cache, switch off the console.
  • Do take note that you shouldn't select the Rest Mode.
  • Check the indicator light on the device and wait until the light stops blinking.
  • Unplug the device and wait for 30 to 40 seconds.
  • Plug it back and switch on the device.
  • To delete your game data, go to Settings and select Storage and System Storage
  • Then, choose Saved data and look for the game data you wish to delete.
  • Hit the Options button and choose Delete.

Xbox 1

  • Clear cache by turning off your Xbox One.
  • Remove the power brick from the console.
  • Wait for at least 30 to 40 seconds.
  • Plug the power brick again and turn the device on.
  • To clear a game data, go to the Settings dashboard and select Storage.
  • Then, click on Manage Storage located on the right side of the screen.
  • Choose View contents and highlight the game data title you wish to delete.
  • Press the Menu button on the controller and hit Manage Game.
  • Click on Saved Data and delete.
